Records live in the MySQL database on this machine. A downloaded backup is your safety net if the computer is lost, reset or reinstalled.

For a full database backup, phpMyAdmin → akshaya_clinic → Export also works, and can be restored the same way.

Keeping records properly

  • Open the console only on a clinic device that is itself locked with a passcode.
  • Give each person their own login. The activity log is only useful if it names a real person.
  • Share reports only with the patient or their referring doctor.
  • Keep records for at least three years after the last visit before deleting.
  • Delete install.php from the folder once setup is done.
